This website has been developed jointly by the Leicester City Teenage Pregnancy and Parenthood Partnership.

The partnership is a collaboration between NHS Leicester City and Leicester City Council, focused on reducing the under 18 conception rate in Leicester City.

Leicester City has a teenage pregnancy rate that is on track to reducing our under-18 conception rate but we need to sustain this and ensure it continues to come down.

The provisional under-18 conception data published by the Office of National Statistics shows that the rate of under 18 conceptions in the city has reduced by 22.5% (per 1000 females ages 15-17) from the baseline of 1998. This is compared to a national reduction rate of 11.2%.
